With reference to paragraph 6 of my Confidential despatch of the 12th March last, I have the honour to transmit herewith copies of documents relative to the murder of Yeung Kiu Wan on the 10th January.
2. I intimated in that despatch that indications pointed to the murder having been committed by order of the then acting Viceroy of Canton. The results of the investigations made by the Police since that time have tended to strengthen this belief, and indeed the evidence adduced seems to show with tolerable clearness that the Head of the Canton Police Force was ...
